How to Turn Your Portable Broadband to Become a Wi-Fi Hotspot for All Other Devices Including Androids

Bear in mind that wireless ad-hoc network is only visible to computers, android devices are not able to view and connect it. In order to make the computer's network visible to android devices, Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter needed to be utilized. Therefore, we are going to activate this adapter in the following manner, this is compatible for all devices.

1. Run CMD with administrator rights.

2. Type these commands with one followed by another
(i) netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=NAME key=PASSWORD
(Change the NAME and PASSWORD as you like)

(After (i) is entered, the following message will be shown)
The hosted network mode has been set to allow.
The SSID of the hosted network has been successfully changed.
The user Key passphrases of the hosted network has been successfully changed.

(ii)netsh wlan start hostednetwork

(After (ii) is entered, if message below prompt up, enable the Wi-Fi adapter as shown in step no.4)
The hosted network couldn't be started.
The group or resources is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.

(After (ii) is entered, if message below prompt up, make sure the Wi-Fi is turned ON)
The hosted network couldn't be started.
A device attached to the system is not functioning.

(If this message is shown, you are good to go :-) )
The hosted network started.

3. Go to Control Panel, under Network and Internet, choose View Internet Status and Task. And then click on Change Adapter Setting on the left column as shown in the picture below.

4. Click once on the Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter to highlight it. Then right click to enable it if it is disabled. This adapter is comes with Window 7 or later. Sometimes will only appear after the above CMD command in step no.2 is entered.

5. Once this is done, go back to the earlier window at View Internet Status and Task, and click on the on the Broadband's status instead of the wireless' status as shown.

6. Click on the Properties tab.

7. After that, select the Sharing tab and check on the Allow Other Network Users to Connect Through the Computer's Internet Connection's box. Under the Home Networking Connection:, it will has selection of LAN, Wireless or Private Network and sometimes it is unchangeable. Ensure the Wireless Network Connection 2(normally is Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter) is selected.

8. If it is unchangeable, go to step window at View Internet Status and Task, change the Broadband and Wireless to Public Network instead of Home or Work Network. Then, it will be changeable. If it is still existing, disable and enable the Wireless Network Connection in step no.4.

Old Phone and New Phone

My first official phone, SE K800i just lost recently :( After graduated from high school, I went to Singapore and became a cheap labor there, lol...it was nightmare though >.<  I remembered I bought this mobile phone after I gained my first month salary there, it was March 2008, It has been with me since then. It's already five years with me, still functioning in tremendously excellent condition except with some minor problem. Due to my careless behavior, it left me without the chance of saying goodbye, it disappeared together with some important info inside.

Not long afterward, I was stumped by my 'girl' friend with a new brand called Ninetology, it is a Southeast Asia mobile brand which was previously known as CSL before merging with other regional companies, searched through the website but can't find any related information with the CSL company. With the government rebate of RM200, I bought this Palette model with only RM99. Having all the basic specs I need such as Wifi, GPS, motion, not so high resolution front and rear camera, dual sim and bla bla bla, sometimes will lacking for while, I am just fine with it as I am not entertaining for high performance phone...for me, It Just Worth It!!!

Here you go if you interested for the rebate: https://komunikasibelia.skmm.gov.my/
Criteria: 21-30 years old and salary below RM3k (Its not limited to postpaid line, but prepaid too!)
The rebate offered till end of year 2013 or RM300 million of total application or whichever come first.

Accident

While I was on the way to fetch my friend for lunch, I came across to this tragic accident. Did not know whether the driver survived or died because there is no mark of any blood on the scene and could not conclude the severity. I think the victim had already being rushed to the nearby hospital. Arrived late is better than never reach is the best to suit this situation. Think of your loved ones before you risk others and your own life on the road.

Heaven

This morning I was on the way to working and stopped by a traffic light. While I was idling, I saw the gigantic cloud and it feels like the heaven just few miles away. At that instant, I was wondering how cool if I could maneuvering a small private plane across those cloud instead of riding my small 110cc bike. Flies at these area which is Bayan Lepas, Penang doesn't means that I don't have to watch out for the incoming air traffic because there is a airport nearby and a lot of passenger aircraft flies through this area everyday. Still, at higher altitude we still need to alert to the traffic like what all the employee does on the land every morning. Land transport much more worst, jam here and there, horn sounds heard here and there, accident occurs occasionally. Hope to end the internship soon and no need trap in the middle of the traffic jam. Without further idling, traffic light turned green indicates I got to pause my dream and continue to work. Vroooomm....

Quote of the day

When you comes to the working environment, this tends to happen. People will say this is not my business, this is not my job, not me who did this, don't ask me, I don't know and etc. They will keep these problems out of their life so that there is only minimal amount of problem that they have to figure out and solve it. People behave selfish and ignorant, moral values inside them are depreciating. So, don't forget to practise these attitude when you start working so that you can survive among them and have no true friend!!!

Shoes

I lost my safety shoes... this is how it looks like, took it randomly from the picture I captured for my work instruction. I didn't take a clearer picture initially because I thought I will never lost it.
This is the 2nd time my shoes were stolen, I wonder which son of the bitch stole it. Damn it, it was given by mt internship superior and I just wore it for 2 weeks. It still looks like a brand new one since I just wore it to practical. I shouldn't put on the rack outside the hostel at main campus. I have no fear to put it outside because I thought universities student are somehow more civilized but it has already proven to me that what i have been thinking was totally wrong. I think those culprit had already spotted it for couple of weeks before taken it away from me. I still remember the 1st time I lost it for the similar situation, but that previous pair I left it outside the hostel at engineering campus during the mid semester break.

I was scolded by my superior and have to wear on the fugly looking protection shoes cap while waiting for the arrival of new safety shoes.

When will it comes, will it be the last day of my intern???
